Drug and its side effect

Each drug as mention before in previous article got their beneficial an side effect. Side effect its self are usually giving bad contribution to patient health, so its needed to consult your medical consultant.

I have discuss about some good side effect of certain drugs in previous article, so now I’d like to discuss some unwanted side effect of drugs. Base on some study and research, each drug have at least 70 side effect with most possible harmful or dangerous reaction or side effect.

Marijuana, tolerance and withdrawal

Animal and human studies conducted since the 1970s have revealed a marijuana withdrawal syndrome, which, though less severe than that for alcohol, heroin, or cocaine, is characterized by insomnia, restlessness, loss of appetite, irritability, anger, and aggression.

PCP tolerance and dangers

PCP use does not seem to result in any significant tolerance or withdrawal symptoms. Generally 24–48 hours are required until the person again feels completely normal.

PCP can result in mood disorders, acute anxiety, paranoia, and violent behavior. PCP-intoxicated individuals can present severe management problems to treatment staff and law enforcement personnel because the drug activates stress hormones that allow users to demonstrate remarkable strength. Some reactions are similar to those in LSD intoxication: auditory hallucinations and image distortion similar to fun house mirror images. PCP is unique among popular drugs of abuse in its power to produce psychoses indistinguishable from schizophrenia.

Running balances

Whilst not currently a legal requirement, running balances for controlled drugs are considered to be best practice. Running balances are relatively easy to control if checked regularly.

Solid dosage forms and individual dosing units such as ampoules and powder sachets are relatively easy to control whilst it is more difficult to keep an accurate balance of liquids due to many manufacturers adding an overage to their bottles. As a result there appears to be more stock left than is indicated in the running balance of the register.
